La fábrica was born when a dilapidated cement factory was stumbled upon by Ricardo Bofill in the year 1973. He immediately saw a lot of possibilities when he discovered the ramshackle buildings and after 45 years the structure was completely transformed into a spectacular home.

The factory which was shut down was a WWI-era pollution machine located just outside of Barcelona was purchased by Ricardo Bofill and his team, which took it as a challenging project.

Let’s see what he did to that abandoned area.
